TL;DR: Pay-as-you-go credits. No subscriptions or hidden fees. Credits never expire. Refunds available for unused credits.
How Billing Works
DomScan uses a simple credit-based system:
- Purchase credits upfront
- Each API call deducts credits based on the endpoint
- Check your balance anytime in the dashboard
- Buy more when you need them
Credit Costs by Endpoint
Different endpoints cost different amounts based on complexity:
- 1 credit - Simple lookups (availability, DNS)
- 2-5 credits - Complex queries (WHOIS history, security scans)
- 10+ credits - Bulk operations, AI-powered features

Credits come in packs with volume discounts:

Credits never expire. Use them whenever you need them.
Auto-Recharge
Never run out of credits unexpectedly:
- Set a threshold (e.g., 100 credits)
- Choose a pack to purchase automatically
- We'll charge your saved payment method when you hit the threshold
- Get email notifications when auto-recharge triggers
You can enable/disable auto-recharge anytime in billing settings.
Payment Methods
We accept:
- Credit/Debit Cards - Card payments supported by Stripe Checkout
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Refunds
Unused Credits
You can request a refund for unused credits within 30 days of purchase:
- Contact us at [email protected]
- Include your account email and purchase date
- Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
- Refund goes to the original payment method
Used Credits
Credits that have been used for API calls are non-refundable, since the service was delivered.
Exceptions
We may issue refunds for used credits if:
- There was a service outage affecting your usage
- A bug caused incorrect credit deductions
- You were charged incorrectly
Refund Policy
Invoices & Receipts
- Stripe creates an invoice record for each completed purchase
- View available invoices from billing settings
- The checkout and invoice show the amount and currency charged
- Contact us if billing information needs correction
Disputes
If you see a charge you don't recognize:
- Check your billing history first
- Contact us before disputing with your bank
- We'll investigate and resolve quickly
Filing a chargeback without contacting us first may result in account suspension.
